Ghost hunting equipment you'll want
at your next investigation.
A basic guide to paranormal investigation.

A list of things you may want to have on your investigation. You don't need all these items, but they are nice to have on hand at an investigation. I would however suggest a few of them. The main thing you'll need is guts. Investigation can get pretty exciting.
    Your Tool Box
Protect yourself from evil spirits while your out there. Holly water, oils, crystals and more. Click Here To Enter Merchant Website And View Products.

DIGITAL CAMERA and/or A FILM CAMERA
Obviously for pictures of you apparitions and PROOF of your sightings.
Use a 35mm camera and a good quality film. Have the correct film speed for the lighting situation that you will be in. I suggest 400 ASA (ISO)films (or the equivalent setting on your digital camera) for dusk and night photography. Some like using 1000 ASA at the very least, this may give you a grainy affect. Using two different cameras helps validate an anomaly if taken with both. Have your partner take one of the cameras. Timing is critical. Don't let the flashes go off at the same time. Take two pictures (same camera) each time you shoot. One right after the next. Don't move at all. This helps validate the picture. One of them might show an anomaly ware the other wont. This helps prove that it wasn't a camera flair or reflection, etc.
NIGHT VISION VIDEO CAMERA
Very useful. You can record what is happening even in the dark. Many times, things happen you may miss, or it is so fast you don't grasp it all with your eyes. This provides a recording that you can later study.
DIGITAL RECORDER
EVP (electric voice phenomena) Capture sounds and voices on recordings.
EMF DETECTOR
These pick up electronic fields, which maybe evidence of ghosts. Always try to go through the room with the EMF before investigating. Take notes of any readings you may get so these can be eliminated later. Natural sources can give off some strong readings. You'll be able to compare the readings to see if anything has changed.
COMMON COMPASS (one that has a free swinging needle) Click here now
This can be used instead of an expensive EMF Detector. Be sure electrical lines (in-ground or above) are not present. This will throw off the compass. Magnetic interference should also be eliminated. Walk north or south with your compass level in your hand. If the needle moves off course you have an anomaly. Retest the same are the next day to be sure it does not happen again. If you can repeat the needle movement hours or days later, sorry but electrical lines or magnetic interference is to blame.
INFRA RED THERMAL SCANNER

This is useful to detect differences in temperatures. Many times when there is activity present the temperature will change.
MOTION DETECTORS
Set up for areas you wont be in. You may pick up some movement while away.
WALKIE TALKIES
Handy with groups of investigators. Constant contact with others in the group may be very necessary when you are investigating different parts of a building.
WATCH (time piece)
Record the time of the activity. Many cameras and video equipment are equipped with this so set them correctly.
TRIGGER OBJECT
You may use anything you want. The principle of a trigger object is to see if it moves. Place your object in an area that it will not be disturbed. Place on a piece of paper. Draw a circle around it. At the end of your investigation, check to see if it has moved. This isn't as crazy as it sounds. Often when an investigation is going on you will seem to "rile up" the spirits. One of them may just help you out with this an move it. Take before and after pictures.
FINE POWDER LIKE TALC
Much like the trigger object, sprinkle in a place where you will not be walking, go back to it later to see if there are any marks in it. Take pictures.
Flashlights
For the Obvious reasons. To see in the dark.
CANDLES AND MATCHES
In a closed room, the flame may indicate air movement. And just in case the batteries fail on your flashlight.
WIND CHIMES
Tin cans will even work. Place were it will not be disturbed. Use to detect if there is a presence about.
NOTEPAD & Pen Blank Journals. Click here.
Write down your findings. Don't rely on your memory.
SPARE BATTERIES
For all your equipment. You don't want to miss anything
MOBILE PHONE
Just in case. You never know. ????
Keep in mind that cell phones rarely work in haunted settings. You may need to go across the street or down the road a ways until power resumes.
It is probably best not to run out and buy a ton of equipment when first getting started. See if you like this hobby first. Then you can slowly start adding to your arsenal.
