Real Ghosts
So, what are real ghosts all about. Many of them are just lost souls. Not knowing where they are. For some its not even knowing their dead in the first place. Others are waiting for a loved one. The sad thing about these ghost are that they could wait on the "other side" and be much better off.

Some are here because they have died very suddenly, usually a violent death. Taken so quickly, there was not time enough to understand they have passed. Not knowing what had happened or why, they just stay in the surrounding they are familiar with. Many spirits stay for a very long time, but eventually a loved one from perhaps eon's ago come looking for them and take them home.

There are many movies made about real ghosts, haunting's and even some on real ghost hunting. Some films make it look romantic or even fun to be a ghost. There isn't anything fun nor is there any romance in it at all. If there were to be some sort of a "love story", it would be a very short one. Perhaps just a feeling or a fleeting glimpse of a departed loved one. Most of these souls need help crossing over. Existence for them would be so much better than stuck here on this early plateau.

There are evil entities lurking around also. These "black" beings should be avoided at all cost. Dark shadows seen from the corners of your eyes. Shadowy figures and the like are usually something bad.

I have listed some different types of ghost below.

The Anniversary Ghost
This ghost will only appear on an anniversary of something significant to the deceased individual. Such as his/her own death, perhaps a birthday, a happy moment, or a tragic event. Year after year the event is played out, over and over for eternity. Many times these re-enactments are witnessed by the living.

The Interactive Ghost
Also call intelligent haunting's. These entities can be playful, inquisitive and on occasions, dangerous. Normally trying to attract your attention, they will create odors, move things, (hide objects from you only to replace it later somewhere else). Make noises (tapping, knocking, footsteps, closing or slamming doors or windows). The dangerous ones could perhaps light fires, leave something in your path so you will trip, push you down the stairs or many other dangerous activities. These spirits are similar to the poltergeist, below.

Poltergeist is a German word for "noisy spirit" These spirits come along during certain times in our lives where some major change is taking place such as puberty. Someone with natural medium qualities, repressed emotions all could bring about these manifestations. The activity is short lived, normally 3 to 6 months, centered on the "teenager" or a female in the home, or the one with natural medium qualities. The activity of the poltergeist often persist in throwing objects, breaking things, pinching, poking. Any activity that would disturb the household would most likely be the poltergeist. They can be quite annoying and disruptive.

The Residual Ghost
Residual Ghosts or Residual Images, as they are also known, are a recurrent type of visual manifestation of a deceased human or animal. Usually a traumatic moment leaves an imprint on the area or building. The event is played over and over, an endless loop of the same event that had happened at some time in the past. This is know as the "Tape Recorder" theory. Often the apparition will be seen going through a series of events oblivious to the observer. Persons who routinely exhibit stress and anxiety of almost any type, and do this in a certain location are prime candidates for becoming a residual image. The compulsory nature of the actions themselves will dictate the nature of the residual haunting.

Orbs
Balls of light. Displayed in different sizes and brightness's. There are a few theory's on the subject of orbs. Mostly though, orbs are energy. But in fact, isn't every thing that move some form of energy? Many believe orbs to be the spirit of someone that has chosen to stay behind They have some sort of strong attachment hear and choose to stay. The longer they stay, the harder it will be for them to go.
Ghost, or spirits choose this form most often because it is less draining on them. This round light figure take less energy to show than a full formed person.
One of the leading theories is the orb is the energy being transferred from a source (i.e. power lines, heat energy, batteries, people, etc) to the spirit so they can manifest. This may not even be a conscious thing the spirit is doing, just a natural way they get their energy. This would explain why the orbs are round balls. According to the laws of Physics energy being transferring like that would assume is natural shape of a sphere.
Orbs are caught on film more often than that of a full bodied ghost. If you haven't already, start looking very closely at your photographs. Many times you may have captured some orbs with your camera and not even noticed it at first glance. Perhaps you thought it was just the camera catching some glare from something. These orbs like to travel in groups so many times you will capture more than one on your film. It seams that it is easier to capture these shots with a digital camera verses a film camera. (Anyone still use regular film these days?) If you are planing an adventure seeking orb photograph, take along with you a digital and a regular film camera. Try to take the same pictures with both pieces of equipment. This helps in verifying the "true orb" from sun spots or some other way the skeptics would criticize your work.
